Dear Family Member/ Designated Representative,

I would like to inform you about some of the things Waterview Nursing Care Center is doing in order to maintain “Open Communication” with you during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Waterview Nursing Care Center’s Nursing and Social Services Departments have been calling the Designated Representative/Family Members for each of our Residents in order to provide you with updates on your loved ones medical health and facility status and to answer any questions you may have. We believe that this personalized contact enables you to remain involved in your loved ones plan of care. We are thrilled to finally be allowed to welcome you back into our facility for scheduled visitation. We will also continue to arrange for Face Time sessions and assisted phone calls for those that cannot come to visit. We encourage you to reach out to our Therapeutic Recreation Department to arrange for visits, Face Time or assisted phone calls.

Waterview Nursing Care Center has also been updating the Facility’s COVID-19 hotline (718-321-1984) to provide up-to-date information on the amount of new COVID-19 in house positive cases in the past 24 hours as well as the number of COVID-19 positive deaths in the past 24 hours. The hotline will ring directly to myself and I would be happy to assist you with your questions or concerns.

 

Waterview Nursing Care Center is also sending out blast texts and emails including the same information. If you are not receiving these texts/emails please contact the Social Services Department to provide us with your cellphone number/email address.

Waterview Nursing Care Center continues to prioritize your loved ones safety, comfort and well-being. We remain transparent during this pandemic and encourage you to reach out to us with any of your questions or concerns.

Waterview Nursing Care Center continuous to follow the guidance from the New York State and New York City Departments of Health in regards to infection control protocols. Waterview Nursing Care Center has appropriate PPE and screens all staff and Residents on a daily basis. Waterview Nursing Care Center is utilizing isolation precautions when necessary in order to minimize cross contamination. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
