I am very happy to report that it has been well over a month without new COVID positive residents or staff member. Under the latest guidance from the NYS DOH, this mean that we are now finally able to allow a limited number of daily, scheduled, visitors to our facility. The visits will be held outside in our courtyard, limited to 2 visitors at a time and will last for approximately 30 minutes. All visitors will be medically screened prior to entering facility grounds and must wear a mask for the duration of the visit. The visit will be subject to weather conditions as well as any future positive cases. As these visits will be by appointment only, please contact our activity department at 718-461-5000 to schedule. You may also contact your Social Worker at 718-461-5000 for any emotional support you may require or to answer questions you have about your loved one.
I would also like to remind you that our COVID-19 hotline phone number (718-321-1984) is still active and available to call should you wish. In compliance with the current guidance from the New York State Department of Health, this hotline will be updated within 24 hours regarding any new developments, positive or negative (resolved cases, new cases or virus related deaths ), that take place in the facility. The hotline will also be updated if visitation is paused due to an increase in positive cases.
Again, I thank you for your support of our Resident’s and staff during this time. I also thank you for your patience while we all navigate the fluid COVID-19 Pandemic.
